Trouw Nutrition España, S.A., develops and markets animal nutrition specialities such as feed additives, premixes (vitamins and minerals for the formulation of compound feed), specific feed and concentrated products for piglets, milk-replacers (powdered milk for suckling animals), animal health products and pet foods. In addition, it provides business services such as compound feed formulas, zootechnical assistance, specific computer programs for livestock management, the purchase of raw materials, processing and manufacturing technologies, etc.
Trouw Nutrition España is a division of Trouw Nutrition International, the leading company in the European market. It is headquartered in Madrid and is certified according to the ISO 9001 Standard and the GMP+/Trade and GMP+/Production Requirements. Its factory, located in Griñón, is one of the most modern and safest of its kind in Europe, with three independent production lines incorporating the latest technology. These characteristics allow its clients to obtain "a la carte" products with the maximum speed, safety and quality.
Its laboratory, part of the Nutreco Masterlab laboratory network, provides consulting and other services in the fields of biochemistry, immunology, pathology and microbiology and is the first private analysis lab in Spain, acknowledged by the National Certification Body (ENAC in Spanish), which entails the formal recognition of its technical competence as a test lab. Currently, this laboratory is also authorized to carry out services in the human food sector.
Animal health products are manufactured in a new and independent plant expressly designed for the production of medicinal premixes and related products, and they are marketed through its company Farm-O-San, which is certified with the GMP requrements issued by the Spanish Agency of Medicine and Health Products.
Trouw Nutrition España operates in the South American market through its affiliate in Venezuela. It also operates in the Portuguese market through its subsidiary company Trouw Nutrition Portugal, Lda., headquartered in Lisbon.
